Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito released the following statement regarding passage of a continuing resolution to continue funding the federal government through December 15.

“I voted for the continuing resolution to avoid a government shutdown and protect West Virginia families and small businesses from further implementation of the President’s health care law.  Hundreds of West Virginians from all walks of life contacted my office over the past week and made clear that they want Obamacare repealed and defunded because the law’s mandates and tax increases fundamentally change our nation’s health care system for the worse.  Today’s continuing resolution provides resources for important federal government programs and avoids a government shutdown while providing no funding for the implementation of Obamacare.”
